Financial Advisors (PFM FA), the nation’s leading independent municipal
advisor,1 announced today that Brodie Killian has joined the Ann Arbor office
as a Director. Brodie brings over 18 years of public finance experience working
with school districts, community colleges and municipalities.

He is well-known and respected, has proven experience in business development
and client service, and complements our team very nicely,” stated Kari
Blanchett, Managing Director and head of the Ann Arbor office.
Prior
to joining PFM FA, Brodie previously worked as a Managing Director at Stifel
Nicholas & Co, where he spent six years as an investment banker.
Previously, he worked at Raymond James and William Blair as a Senior Vice
President and Director, respectively. His impressive credentials extend to
public service; he served as a Deputy Superintendent of Business &
Operations at Plymouth-Canton Community Schools.
Brodie received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University
of Michigan—Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and Master of Public Policy
from the University of Michigan—Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. Other
notable professional education includes the completion of the Chief Financial
Officer certification program from the Michigan School Business Officials and
the Michigan Leadership Institute’s Superintendent’s Academy. Brodie currently serves as the co-chairman of
the Michigan Government Finance Officer Association’s Legislative
Committee. Previously Brodie served on
the Board of Directors of the Municipal Advisory Council of Michigan and as
vice-chairman of the City of Dearborn’s Pension Board of Trustees.
