Philadelphia, PA (April 22, 2021): PFM, one of the nation’s leading providers of financial advisory and asset management services, announced today that Charles “Chuck” Matthews returned to the firm after spending 10 years in investment banking. Charles rejoins the firm in our financial advisory business where he will be advising clients throughout PFM’s Mid-Atlantic and South footprint and expanding our reach in regions of strategic focus.

Mr. Matthews left PFM in 2010, after 14 years of service, to pursue a career in investment banking. In that time, he served as a senior manager to issuers around the Mid-Atlantic region, including the City of Philadelphia (PA), the City of Norfolk (VA), the City of Wilmington (DE) and MARTA in Atlanta, GA.

The firm has continued to grow and provide outstanding services to municipalities, and the professionals here are among the best in the business. The original vision of PFM solely providing independent advisory services to clients without conflict has never changed, and I am looking forward to helping the firm continue to grow,” Charles explains.
Charles holds an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University and an M.S. in Finance from George Washington University. He is also quite active in his community, having served on several boards in his neighborhood of Northwest Philadelphia and volunteering his time with youth sports organizations. Most recently, he co-founded a grass-roots, non-partisan campaign to increase voter turnout and promote voter education and awareness in the Philadelphia area during the 2020 election and for future elections.
